DOUBLE DELIGHT IN YORK!

The Giants were on the road (well train to be exact) as they headed to York for a double header against the York City Knights.

It was York who were the ones quickest out of the blocks registering two un-answered tries and look dominate in the opening spell. The Giants remained patient knowing they would find a foot hold in the game and once they had settled began to control the game, with York limited to just one try in the remainder of the game.

Another fantastic performance from John Willans saw him pick up the Player of the Match award as we ran out eventual winners in game one 18-64.

Onto game two which had a mixture of experience and developing players to get vital minutes under their belt in only our 2nd ever season and the game marked a try for Olivia Fulton, her first ever in the sport of Wheelchair Rugby League.

Strong performances from Hamish Douglas, Mark Robertson and Player of the Match saw the Giants take control of the game from start to finish running out eventual winners 8-58.

Next up for Edinburgh is the Gravesend Dynamite on the 13th July for a 12 noon Kick Off at the Pleasance and will see the two sides go head to head again following their clash in the semi-finals in the Challenge Trophy back in April, with the Giants taking the victory on that occasion. Who will take the spoils this time out? It's sure to be a cracker!
