We are so pleased to announce that the club has been awarded £14,600 of #Createdby #RLWC2021 Capital Grants programme funding to purchase 8 brand new sports wheelchairs.
This is major for the club and will enable us to launch and develop Wheelchair Rugby League throughout Edinburgh & the surrounding areas.
The specialist wheelchairs are now on order for production and we are cannot wait to receive them, this is major
“We have recently purchased 5 pre-loved chairs which meant we could get started but securing the funding to purchase an additional 8 brand new sports wheelchairs is a game changer. It means we a solid base of chairs to be able to build from and ensure we reach the people that need our club. Our thanks go to everyone involved at the Capital Grants programme and the National Lottery for making our dream a reality.”
We are working towards our launch night on Wed 1st March 2023 at Pleasance Sports Complex & Gym from 8pm. If you are interested in becoming a player or volunteer do not hesitate to get in contact with us for more details.
