The Wheelchair Rugby League Development Plan (WRLDP), sponsored by Genista Energy has been launched in 2024 with the ambitious aim of developing the sport throughout Edinburgh & the surrounding areas.

 

Edinburgh Giants is the first Wheelchair Rugby League club in the Captial of Scotland and was launched in 2023 as part of the RWLC2021 legacy after securing £14,600 to purchase 8 chairs to start the club.

Increasing Participation

Create meaningful opportunities to take part in Wheelchair Rugby League whether that be playing, coaching, officiating or volunteering.

Inspiring a future generation

Promoting the sport to children and young adults to inspire them through the opportunities that are available through playing Wheelchair Rugby League.

Improving standards

​

Adopt a continuous improvement tools and techniques to inspect and adapt our work and ensure we have an improvement backlog in place to continue to improve standards both in the sport and in our club as a whole.
